Our philosophy

Every Pangborn Landscaping, Inc. project offers an imaginative and maintainable design that is also functional, efficient and resilient. Since our founder and owner's background is in horticultural science, installing plants in appropriate locations is a priority.

Teamwork is a cornerstone of Pangborn Landscaping, whether our staff handles a complete landscape design from conception to final product, or whether we work with a client's chosen architects, engineers and planners. Each member of Pangborn Landscaping feels fortunate to bring our clients pleasure through the environment in which they work and live.

We give equal weight to aesthetic considerations, financial factors and construction schedule constraints. We understand the importance of on-budget and on-time construction, and we believe that there is no substitute for quality.

Our history

Pangborn Landscaping, Inc. was created by Vince Pangborn in 1976, following his graduation from Michigan State University with a BS in horticultural sciences. He managed various one-man jobs before expanding into work on major athletic fields, dedicating his efforts to football, baseball and softball fields. Vince was involved in the first phase of Riverfront Park in Lansing while he continued to work on custom residential and commercial properties. He moved Pangborn Landscaping to its current location in 1986, and the business was incorporated in 1991.
